Furqan Rizvi, MD completed his residency in Psychiatry as Chief Resident at Department of Psychiatry, Harlem Hospital Center, Columbia University Medical Center, New York, NY. He was later appointed Medical Director and Inpatient Psychiatrist, Behavioral Health Services at Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital, San Antonio, Texas.
In addition to his private practice at Frisco Behavioral Health Group, LLC, Dr. Rizvi is an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Southwestern, Dallas, Texas. Dr. Rizvi has been awarded several distinguished scholarships including the American Psychiatric Association’s Janssen Resident Psychiatric Research Scholar – 2014 and Committee of Interns and Resident’s Telluride Scholar – 2014.
Dr. Rizvi is a diplomate, American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is also a member of the American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Rizvi is experienced in providing psychiatric care to individual’s age 10 years and above. He also provides Office-Based Buprenorphine (Suboxone) Treatment.
