Dr. Haqqani graduated from medical school in 1993 and graduated as Chief Resident in June 2004 from John Peter Smith Hospital, Fort Worth, Texas.   Dr. Haqqani has an extensive background in Psychiatry serving as Medical Director of Dallas Behavioral Healthcare Hospital, Dallas, Texas, as Inpatient Psychiatrist at Sundance Hospital, Arlington, Texas, Inpatient Psychiatrist at Oceans Plano Hospital and Medical Director of the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit at John Peter Smith Hospital, Fort Worth, Texas.   He has also served as an Assistant Professor at the North Texas Health Science Center at John Peter Smith Hospital and a staff psychiatrist at the North Texas Affiliated Medical Group, Fort Worth, Texas.  Dr. Haqqani was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center-Department of Behavioral Sciences, Houston, Texas.   Dr. Haqqani is licensed in Indiana and Texas and has a Board Certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.  He received the Resident of the Year Award and served as Chief Resident in 2003-2004 and graduated with honors from medical school and is a member of the Fellow American Psychiatric Association.   Dr. Haqqani is widely recognized in psychiatric medicine through national speaking promotions on behalf of Janssen Pharmaceutical Corporation, AstraZeneca Pharmaceutical Corporation, speaking engagements on Understanding Addictions, The History and Pharmacology of Opioids, Pharmacologic Treatment of Alcoholism, Metabolic Syndrome and Bipolar Disorder, Lead Poisoning and Electroconvulsive Therapy.   Dr. Haqqani is an outstanding psychiatrist and welcomes new patients at Frisco Behavioral Health Group, LLC.
